چکیده

Background: Continuous monitoring of patients with Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) provides relevant information Objectives: To update the analysis clinical and immunological characteristics associated time to severe renal involvement in Lupus Erythematous a Colombian cohort followed from January 2015 October 2020 Methods: A retrospective follow-up study based on records. Patients SLE diagnosis fulfilled either 1987 American College Rheumatology Classification Criteria for or 2011 International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) classification criteria SLE. We included nephritis according Wallace Dubois criteria. who did not have at least two measurements had cause other than were excluded. The primary outcome was defined as creatinine clearance ≤50ml/min, 24-hour proteinuria ≥3.5 grams o end-stage disease. Updated age sex-adjusted survival functions Hazard ratios (HR) 95% confidence intervals p-values estimated using parametric Weibull models interval-censored data. P values <0.05 considered statistically significant. Descriptive statistics previously reported EULAR (1) Results: 548 analyzed: 67 left-censored they presented entry, 25 interval censored occurred between visits (19 new events), 456 right-censored registered during follow-up. In this Age Ratios high blood pressure HR = 3.1 (95%CI 1.5-6.3; p-value 0.003) Anti-RO (per unit increase) 1.003 1.001-1.005; 0.029). Figure 1 shows updated function Conclusion: update, we found similar those (1). However, continuous allows us deepen our understanding progression References: [1]Herrera S, Diaz-Coronado JC, Rojas-Gualdrón D, Betancur-Vasquez L, Gonzalez-Hurtado Gonzalez-Arango J, et al. Update on Immune Mechanisms in Systemic Lupus and Lupus Nephritis

Lupus nephritis is a frequent complication of systemic lupus erythematosus. Multiple pathological mechanisms attribute to the pathogenesis of lupus nephritis. These mechanisms can be grossly divided into two groups, extrarenal or intrarenal pathways. A variety of genetic variants break immune tolerance to nuclear autoantigens, as evident from the existence of antinuclear antibodies. Furthermore...

The chemokine network in systemic lupus erythematous nephritis.

In response to renal immune complex accumulation in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), monocytes, T lymphocytes, and neutrophils infiltrate the kidney and mediate tissue injury and renal dysfunction. Chemotactic factors induced by immune complexes are responsible for recruiting these inflammatory cells to the kidney. Considerable attention has focused on the role of the chemokine network in re...

Developing consensus treatment plans for proliferative lupus nephritis in childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematous

Purpose The SLE Subcommittee of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) is developing standardized treatment plans for proliferative lupus nephritis (LN) in childhood-onset SLE (cSLE) which will serve as the basis for future comparative effectiveness studies. The Initial Delphi survey revealed wide variability in the treatment of LN in cSLE. This abstract decribes the...

PReS-FINAL-2280: Lupus disease activity in a pediatric Colombian cohort with systemic lupus erytematosus

Methods Analytic descriptive study. 89 patients with diagnosis SLE (1986 ACR criteria) from a rheumatology center at a pediatric hospital were evaluated at the time of diagnosis and twelve months after. Medical records were reviewed registering the following variables: score SLEDAI, Antinuclear antibodies (ANAs), Anti-DNA antibodies and complement C3 and C4 levels. Analysis was done through par...

Update on Lupus Nephritis.

SLE is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the kidneys in about 50% of patients. Lupus nephritis is a major risk factor for overall morbidity and mortality in SLE, and despite potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive therapies still ends in CKD or ESRD for too many patients. This review highlights recent updates in our understanding of disease epidemiology, genetics, pathogenesis,...
